Tube Slotting Custom Tooling
We manufacture dedicated, mandrel-supported punch tooling engineered for high-speed, high-volume production runs. Our tooling is designed for round, square, rectangular, and custom tube profiles. By physically supporting the inside diameter or profile of the tube during the press stroke, our custom internal mandrels eliminate wall collapse, delivering clean shear edges while maintaining the tube's original shape.

We regularly build tooling for standard rectangular or square slots, locking configurations with radiused ends, and custom geometries. These die sets are commonly run for manufacturing telescoping frame assemblies, exhaust systems, slip-joint mufflers, and structural locating features.
For assemblies requiring mirrored or exact angular alignment—such as dual slots oriented exactly 180° apart—our systems integrate custom physical gauging stops. This ensures every part matches your drawing tolerances, cycle after cycle. We design and build die sets to fit your existing press, compatible with straight, Torca, teardrop, and custom multi-diameter tube specifications.

Tube Notching & End Coping
Minimize changeover downtime with our fast-mount press tooling. Our modular die frames let your operators swap from high-speed slotting to end-notching in minutes. These dedicated notching dies eliminate manual grinding or milling, preparing tube profiles for tight, high-strength weld joint fit-ups.
We supply tooling for standard fish mouth, compound angled fish mouth, "V" notches, and custom profile copes. We build these systems to handle round, square, and rectangular structural profiles—ideal for frame fabrication, handrail production, and agricultural equipment manufacturing.

Mandrel-Style Hole Punching
When parts must slide inside one another without catching, internal support is non-negotiable. Our mandrel-style hole punching tooling supports the tube wall internally during the punch impact. This prevents dimpling, burring, or expansion of the outside diameter, allowing tight-tolerance telescoping tubes to slide freely.
We build custom die sets to punch single or clustered configurations of round, square, and rectangular holes. Multi-axis systems can punch several walls or different angles simultaneously during a single press stroke, driving down cycle times on complex parts.
Dimple-Style Hole Punching
For projects where slight physical indentation is acceptable, dimple-style punching offers a high-speed, cost-effective alternative. Because this approach does not require inserting and extracting an internal mandrel, cycle times are faster, and initial tooling costs are substantially lower.
Opposing punch units act simultaneously from both sides, creating matched inward dimpled holes in a single hit.
A single punch pierces the tube wall while an external back-up block supports the opposite side, keeping one face flat while dimpling the other.
This tooling is the standard choice for manufacturing steel furniture, shelving, structural frameworks, and general retail displays where production speed and budget are the primary drivers.
